The CDEM is looking for dynamic young people aged 16 to 30 to fill the following positions:

• Entrepreneur Camp Coordinator

The Entrepreneur Camp coordinators will be responsible for facilitating the entrepreneurship training sessions for the young participants of the five planned camps. Also, employees will be responsible for monitoring young participants in all Entrepreneur Camp activities, including production sessions, social outings, during breaks and sales activities at the end of the camps. In addition, employees will be responsible for preparing materials and the learning environment, preparing displays and displaying bulletin boards in the classroom. Animators should also help communities with the development and planning of a local market for the sale of products. Due to the pandemic, we have added a Corporate Pitch Competition aspect open to all AMBM members under the age of 18. The coordinators will organize and promote the contest to bilingual municipalities in Manitoba.


• Summer employee for CED/Tourism

The employee will be responsible for the following tourism files:
– In charge of the production of Cinéma sous les étoiles (outdoor movie screenings)
– Assist in the development of summer festivals in AMBM communities
– Assist in the development of a themed rural tourism package.
– Design, research and interviews with potential partners.
– Creation of a ‘culinary-themed circuit in rural areas.
– Updating the database of tourism suppliers and partners.
– Active participation in the promotion of Bonjour Manitoba during urban tourist activities such as St John’s Day, Canada Day, and Folklorama, among others.
– Organization and planning of the 2022 community markets at Cinéma sous les étoiles
– Other duties as reasonably assigned


• Summer employee for employability

The tasks of the recruitment assistant for the employability sector of the CDEM are:
– Meet with clients to obtain information on their professional and educational background, as well as their professional goals;
– Identify barriers to employment and assist clients in areas such as employment skills, job search strategies, resume writing and interview preparation;
– Advise employers on human resources and other employment-related matters;
– Provide employed workers with information on job retention within an organization, how to deal with professional dissatisfaction or career orientation changes;
– Gather information on the labour market and inform the client of employment opportunities, entry requirements to the profession, required skills and other information on the professions.
