CDEM had the privilege of welcoming a delegation composed of the IOM (International Organization for Migration), a representative from the Ministry of Labour of the Republic of Djibouti, Accueil francophone, 18 candidates from the Destination Djibouti program, as well as several community partners.<\/p>\n

This meeting is part of the follow-up to the training organized in Djibouti, aimed at preparing young Djiboutians for the Manitoba labour market, within the framework of the Labour Migration Pathways Facilitation Program to Canada, implemented by the IOM.<\/p>\n

We are also pleased to highlight that these 18 Djiboutian participants, trained through this program, have now arrived in Manitoba and have all been hired by 4Tracks, marking an important milestone in their professional integration.<\/p>\n

This meeting made it possible to:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Exchange on their integration since their arrival;
\u2022 Discuss next steps and possible partnerships;
\u2022 Strengthen our commitment to supporting the employability of young Djiboutian talent.<\/p>\n

A big thank-you to all the contributors for these constructive discussions.<\/p>\n

CDEM remains committed to supporting these young people in their professional journey and in establishing themselves sustainably in Manitoba.<\/p>\n

Meeting with Employers<\/h3>\n

CDEM had the honour of hosting the International Organization for Migration (IOM) along with several local partners to strengthen our collaboration around recruiting qualified international talent.<\/p>\n

This meeting allowed for discussions on:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Workforce needs in the early childhood, restaurant, and transportation sectors;
\u2022 International recruitment opportunities to address local labour shortages;
\u2022 Promoting and highlighting qualified francophone talent;
\u2022 Strategies for the professional integration of newcomers in Manitoba.<\/p>\n

CDEM remains committed to supporting employers in their recruitment efforts and to fostering the long-term integration of francophone workers within the Manitoba community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
