How old are you?<\/h4>\n

I am 21 years old.<\/p>\n

Where do you live?<\/h4>\n

I live in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n

Can you describe your company?<\/h4>\n

L’arc-en-ciel<\/em> avec Janelle is an educational training that aims to raise awareness and demystify topics related to the 2SLGBTQ* community, sexual diversity, gender diversity and identity, in order to raise awareness among Francophone communities in Manitoba in its context of a double minority.<\/p>\n

Who is your target audience?<\/h4>\n

I target young people (Kindergarten to Grade 12), educators (school staff, teachers, administrative management, etc.) , and organizations(Health professionals, performing arts, boards of directors, etc.)<\/p>\n

How did the idea for your business come about?<\/h4>\n

I decided to create L\u2019arc en ciel avec Janelle<\/em> in the need to reconcile both my queer identity and my mother tongue. I had a desire to serve my Franco-Manitoban community and my Franco-queer community so that others could also become themselves and have the representation they need.<\/p>\n

What tools do you use most in your company?<\/h4>\n

I mainly use the website (WIX), visual media, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and YouTube.<\/p>\n

Do you plan to continue your studies at the university? If so, in what area?<\/h4>\n

I am currently in the Faculty of Social Work at St. Boniface University to complete my bachelor’s degree. After my BACC, I would like to go back to school to specialize in the field of sexuality and gender, and eventually return to university for my master’s and doctoral degrees.<\/p>\n
