More than 220 companies from all provinces and territories were nominated during the eight editions of the competition that took place between 2001 and 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 edition of this competition has seven categories in total: sustainable development company, tourism company, Innovative company, Award of Excellence Entrepreneurial, Immigrant Entrepreneur, Young Entrepreneur, Woman Entrepreneur. All companies must favor the use of French.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two Manitoba companies have distinguished themselves in the SME Awards competition: <strong>Anne Mulaire<\/strong>, represented by Andr\u00e9anne Dandeneau in the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award category and <strong>Harness Adventure Mushing Co<\/strong>, represented by Samantha Belcourt in the Tourism Company category. \u00a0The 2022 SME Awards evening was held in person in Ottawa on\u00a0 September 28, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Discover the two winning Manitoba companies<\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anne Mulaire is a M\u00e9tis fashion apparel company created by Franco-Manitoban entrepreneur Andr\u00e9anne (Anne) Mulaire Dandeneau. She is a source of pride for all Manitobans. Leader in slow fashion, the brand offers a new perspective of the fashion industry, namely profitability while holding at heart sustainable development, Franco-m\u00e9tis heritage and service in French. The company also attracts and encourages a Francophone clientele by offering service in French at all times (including dog sledding).
