Case Study Launch – An Economic Success Story: The Development of the Riel Industrial Park

The Rural Manitoba Economic Development Corporation (RMED) has released a new case study highlighting the development and continued success of the Riel Industrial Park in Ste. Agathe. The case study was unveiled on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Cheyenne Park in Ste. Agathe, in the presence of local and regional leaders, economic development professionals and regional stakeholders.

The Riel Industrial Park is a model of long–term rural development based on a community vision and collaboration. The case study highlights results in local investment, job creation and infrastructure reinvestment, providing lessons and inspiration for other rural Manitoba communities.

The translation was completed by the Association of Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (AMBM) in alignment with the goals of the Conseil de développement économique des municipalités bilingues du Manitoba (CDEM) and its strategic plan. This plan highlights the significance of essential partnerships, such as the one with the Rural Manitoba Economic Development Corp (RMED), in fostering the growth of prosperous bilingual and francophone communities, such as the Rural Municipality of Ritchot.
