As part of the  International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Facilitation of Labour Migration Pathways to Canada program for youth in Djibouti, Salimata Soro, Director of the Employability and Immigration Sector, travelled to Djibouti to deliver targeted training on the Canadian workplace. The mission was designed to provide participants with the tools and knowledge they need to make a successful transition to the job market in Manitoba.

More specifically, CDEM’s intervention focused on preparing the selected young people to work as heavy truck drivers at 4 Tracks Ltd., a Manitoba employer committed to the international recruitment of Francophone and qualified workers.
