The two workshops organized by CDEM for National Francophone Immigration Week, held on November 5 and 7, were a great success!
These two flagship events — the virtual workshop “How to Immigrate to Manitoba” and CDEM’s Francophone Immigration Day — highlighted diversity, inclusion, and the inspiring journeys of Francophone immigrants who contribute to Manitoba’s economic and cultural vitality.

Thanks to our dedicated partners and the participation of many community members, this week highlighted the value of the French language, the richness of Francophone journeys, and the importance of Francophone mobility in Manitoba.
National Francophone Immigration Week also generated strong engagement on social media. Throughout the week, daily posts and four videos — in which CDEM’s Executive Director, as well as the Chair and Treasurer of the Board of Directors, shared their perspectives on Francophone immigration — were published, generating more than 40,000 views.
In addition, during CDEM’s Immigration Day, 12 participants from the employability training program received their certificates, presented by Madeleine Arbez, CDEM’s Executive Director.

Furthermore, as part of National Francophone Immigration Week, Minister Malaya Marcelino, MLA for Notre Dame, welcomed Francophone immigration organizations to celebrate their valuable contribution to Francophone communities. Madeleine Arbez, CDEM’s Executive Director, was in attendance.
Thank you to all our partners and to everyone who took part in the workshops.
National Francophone Immigration Week may be coming to an end, but at CDEM, we celebrate Francophonie and diversity all year long.
