SME Awards: Two Manitoba Companies Winning

Initiated by RDÉÉ Canada, the SME Awards is a competition to recognize entrepreneurial excellence for French- and Acadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Canada established outside Quebec. More than 220 companies from all provinces and territories were nominated during the eight editions of the competition that took place between 2001 and 2018.

The 2022 edition of this competition has seven categories in total: sustainable development company, tourism company, Innovative company, Award of Excellence Entrepreneurial, Immigrant Entrepreneur, Young Entrepreneur, Woman Entrepreneur. All companies must favor the use of French.

Two Manitoba companies have distinguished themselves in the SME Awards competition: Anne Mulaire, represented by Andréanne Dandeneau in the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award category and Harness Adventure Mushing Co, represented by Samantha Belcourt in the Tourism Company category.  The 2022 SME Awards evening was held in person in Ottawa on  September 28, 2022.

The company also attracts and encourages a Francophone clientele by offering service in French at all times (including dog sledding).
