Jeudis Franco Thursdays Make a Vibrant Comeback to
St. Boniface Every Thursday This Summer!

The Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (CDEM) and Tourisme Riel (TR) are thrilled to unveil the second installment of Jeudis Franco Thursdays. From June 6 to August 29, more than a dozen dynamic weekly activities will animate the St. Boniface neighbourhood every Thursday. Experiences Abound in St. Boniface

This summer is brimming with activities not to be missed:

• Kilter Brewing hosts the Kick-off Party on June 6 at 7 p.m., offering festive programming throughout the summer.
• The Marché d’été St. Boniface Summer Market at Joseph-Royal Park every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. brings together over thirty local artisans each week.
• Patio 340 opens at 5 p.m. every Thursday offering outdoor yoga sessions and DJ nights.
• The Jeudis-Pétanque, in collaboration with the Union nationale française and the Alliance Française du Manitoba, brings this classic French ball game to Provencher Park every Thursday.
• Guided tours of St. Boniface are presented by Tourisme Riel daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. starting from 219 Provencher Boulevard.
• Movies Under the Stars/Cinéma sous les étoiles at St. Boniface Cathedral offers outdoor movie nights with movies like Astérix and Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre in French, with English subtitles.
• The Maison Gabrielle-Roy introduces new theatrical visits every Thursday at 1 p.m.
• Le Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum offers special programming throughout the summer.
• Bike Historic Winnipeg tours are a great way to explore the neighbourhood by bike during the summer season.

New Remarkable Additions

Among the new activities offered this year, the French Conversation Cafés offer an opportunity to practice and learn French and discover different restaurants and cafés in the area. Additionally, Sports en français organizes drop-in Sports Nights. Finally, the Maison des artistes visuels francophones will offer exhibition openings on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.
